Fred Haynes

Born in Manchester England, I started showing and breeding bulldogs in the early 8o’s. Ventured into pugs also in the 90’s for several years and had some success with them.

I started judging bulldog in the 90’s and was approved by the KC to award Challenge Certificates in 2000.

I first came to the States in 1998 to watch the Bulldog national specialty in OK, fell in love with my lovely bride Carolyn and came to live here in 2000.

Here in the USA I have finished many bulldogs that we have bred, also a few that that we imported, and have the honor of being inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame. Carolyn got me interested in her collies and we have several champions including breeding and campaigning “Ch. Lakewinds Shot In The Dark” to the #1 Collie in America (breecd stats)for 2006 and have recently import a Frenchie.

I have held the position of President of The Bulldog Club of Connecticut for more than twenty years, also was a BCA Councilor for Division one for many years and serve on the Executive Committee of the Eastern Dog Club.

Along with Carolyn, we have had some success showing at national level, winning RWD for a major with one of our imports, Division 1, national day under Caroline Miller in CT 2015, the same week winning  BOB with a home bred boy under Wayne Brower at the back up show. The next year on the opposite coast , Division 5 BOB under Carolyn Adam’s at the back up show. BEST Of  Winners at  Division 8 back up show under Sandra McBride and Winners Dog Division 4 back up show  under Danny Moore.

I have had the privilege of being invited to judge during National week on three previous occasions, judging Dogs, Intersex and Veterans for Div 5 in Spokane WA. 2007, Intersex for Div 7 in Vienna VA. 2011 and Bitches for Division 2 in St. Charles IL. 2017.

Thank you to the board of Division 2 for having confidence in me to judge bitches National Day 2025 and thank you to all the exhibitors that allow me to go over your girls.
