I encourage anyone who wants a full understanding of this breed to judge, whether it be a puppy match, futurity, or sweepstakes. I learned it is much different sitting ringside versus putting your hands on the breed. It is the best way to appreciate the Bulldog.
My journey with the Bulldog began 30 years ago with our first bulldog Ginger, an engagement gift to my husband, Bob. Little did I know how impactful that gift would be on our lives all these years later! It started a lifelong passion and love for the breed. In 2004, we made the transition from pet owners to exhibiting our first show dog, Fergus, who finished his championship and winning BISS.
I did not immediately get into showing, as we had two small children under the age of 5 years old. It was not until my beautiful Guinness, that my moment came for me to show and that I learned the partnership of being in the ring. We have been blessed with countless friends because of this breed. I cherish all the relationships made over the years and look forward to new relationships who share in the passion of the Bulldog.
I have judged many sweepstakes, puppy matches and futurities, across the country, and I enjoy each and every time I get to put my hands on the dogs in the ring. I have 18 homebred champions and was inducted as a BCA Hall of Fame breeder in 2014. My greatest joy is being active on the BCA education committee, serving on the Board of Governors for Division IV, and being an ambassador for the breed. I am also a member of the Lone Star and Fort Worth Bulldog Clubs, having served multiple positions in both clubs. I want to express my appreciation for Bob and my children, Colin and Kiely, for supporting me in my love of the Bulldog.
