Been married for 20 years (2nd time) with now 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren . I have to say nothing better then being a Grandparent.
I got my first Bulldog way back in 1986 and can you believe I got her from our local newspaper but she was the greatest dog and lived until she was 14 . I started out by showing in Obedience and back then it was almost unheard of a Bulldog in obedience but she did very well and even came in the placements . Didn’t go any further then a CD because I couldn’t get her to take the dumbbell . She would spit it out as if to say you put that darn thing in your mouth.
I had a friend who introduced me to the Conformation world and then I was hooked . It took me almost 30 years into the breed to feel I was capable of judging our beloved breed and no interest in judging others .
I was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004 but under the last name of Owens . Many of the older Bulldoggers still call me by that name . Today I have 29 Bred By Champions with several others that I didn’t breed . My best known dog was GCH. Barones N NeeNees Lady Martha Louise .
Enough about me now lets all have a good time at the shows !!!
