I was brought up with dogs; our family owning Boxers, Pekingese, Bullmastiffs and Great Danes. I began exhibiting Pugs in the 1980’s, making up champions under the Danjak affix.
I awarded my 1st Challenge Certificates in the breed in 2004, I had my first Bulldog, in 1989 and began showing again in the early 1990s and gave my first Challenge Certificates in Bulldogs in 2010. I have also been privileged to judge in many European Countries as well as Brazil, Peru and the USA and Australia.
I have judged Bulldog of the year in Holland, Spain (twice), Contest of Champions in Italy and Bulldog of the Five Nations in Belgium.
Having successfully campaigned many dogs over the years including: –
Ch Bagibeli Queen of Hearts who I retired after winning 10 CCs, 5 CCs and
BOS at Bulldog of the Year, Ch Bagibeli Billy Ray JW, and his son Bagibeli Ace of Spades who both won 1st places at Crufts the same year. Bagibeli Ace of Spades was the top bulldog stud dog in the UK in 2022. I am currently campaigning his daughter Ch Bagibeli Queen Dancing Queen and I am excited to bring a new puppy Bagibeli Natty Bumppo into the ring in early 2024.
I serve on the Judging sub – committee and the PR sub-committee of the UK Bulldog Breed Council. I teach on seminars regularly and narrated the Breed Council DVD that was produced for teaching purposes. I am the Chairman of the Manchester and Counties Bulldog Club and I am also a member of the Royal Kennel Club in the UK.
This will be my second time judging in the USA and I feel honoured to be asked to judge the LSBC and BC of New Jersey preshow, and I would like to wish good luck to all the exhibitors and thank you for allowing me the pleasure of judging your dogs.
